Parking

Please note, there is very limited free parking close to the race venue and we strongly suggest that you car share where possible. Parking will be your responsibility.. A detailed guide to Parking in Windsor and Eton can be found  via the Parkopedia website. We do not recommend trying to park on the Eton side of the river as the bridge between Eton and Windsor is pedestrian access only, and if the carparks are full, you will have a long Journey getting around to the Windsor Side. Please note that the free car park that we have used previously at the very bottom of Romney Lock road is now a pay and display ca park charging £9.10 for up to 4 hours.

The Windsor and Eton Riverside car park behind the train station is the cheapest car park available at £4.90 all day on a Sunday and is a good option as it is only a 5-10 minute walk to race registration and the spectator boat embarkation point, please arrive early for this car park though as it is limited to 200 spaces. The castle and river street car parks are the closest to the spectator Boat access/launch, but are not long stay and will have a higher cost. We recommend you plan your journey/parking well in advance and take into account the location of the Race HQ, Race Start and Boat Access for spectators, as these are either side of the river (Runners will start on the Eton side of the river, whereas boat spectators will need to be on the Windsor side of the river. There is a pedestrian bridge to take you between Eton and Windsor).

Public Transport

The first train in from London Paddington leaves at 07:49am and arrives at Windsor Central station at 08;28am (after a change at Slough) This station is approximately a 10 minute walk to Race HQ and the boats. There is also a train leaving London Waterloo at 07:27am and arriving at Windsor and Eton Riverside station at 0843. The station is a 5-6 minute walk from the race HQ and from the Boats.  ***Please consult the train timetable nearer the time as we cant be liable for changes to schedules or anything such as rail workers going on strike ***

Headphones

We politely and firmly request headphones are not worn (as per the terms and conditions you agreed to). You will need to hear our marshals and our marshals will need to know you have heard them. In the same way that DQs may be given for ignoring or being abusive to Marshals, this goes the same for wearing headphones. The health and safety of runners, and the general public takes priority. The T&C of your entry also stipulate that we firmly request headphones aren't to be worn.

Prizes

Prize giving will be done as soon after the event as possible. Prize giving will take place near to the finish area at around 11am. Prizes will be awarded for the first 3 male and female runners and the first male and female runners of the V40, V50, V60 and V70 categories. The Team prize will be awarded for the first team to get 2 men and 2 women over the finish line (To qualify as a team, the team or club indicated on your entry must match and you must be wearing matching club or team kit)

Toilets

There will be plenty of toilets provided at the start/finish area but as often happens at races, you may find there is a queue for these. Windsor also has several Public Toilets near to the various car parks you may use on the day. The Victoria street multi-storey, river street and home park car park on Romney Lock Road  all have public toilets in or near them. We recommend using these on your way to the Race HQ as this will save you time. As we need to start promptly, the start of the race will not be delayed because of toilet queues.

There will be a bag drop facility at the Start/Finish area, please note that any bags are left at owners risk
